September 15, 2006 • A day we won’t forget

Ray and Kandace were just starting a three-day vacation at their favorite vacation bed and breakfast, the Heceta Head Lighthouse. Sitting on the front porch, making conversation, and looking at the cloudy skies,

Ray suddenly felt moved by the occasion, dropped to one knee and asked, “Kandace Nuckolls, will you marry me?"

Kandace will be forgiven for her initial response: “Are you serious?” An understandable reply. Ray convinced here with his next queston of, "Will you make me the happiest man in the world?”. She quickly gathered her wits and said “Yes!”

And just like that, the sun came out. Smiles, hugs, and love all around.
